Location and Directions
Sapphire Village is only one mile from the town of Red Hook, ten miles from Cyril E. King airport, and eight miles from Charlotte Amalie.
Directions from the airport:
- From the airport take Route 302 to E Moravian Highway (Route 30).
- Turn right onto Route 30 East to Mandela Circle.
- Make a left on Route 313, bearing right onto Route 38 East.
- Stay on 38 East and turn off at sign that says Sapphire Bay West/Crystal Cove for check-in.
Transportation from the airport is available for an additional charge.
Taxicabs are available at the airport, cruise ship docks, popular attractions, and beaches. Check with the front desk for a taxi from the property.
Vitran buses cover popular routes on Saint Thomas:
- Country buses run every hour from 5:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. between downtown Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook.
- City buses travel between Schneider Regional Medical Center and downtown running from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Private Safari buses run every 15-20 minutes. The fare is $1.00 locally and $2.00 to travel into the city.
